Who we are
Twenty years of Hampton Roads homes, and counting.
Virginia Renovations is a veteran-owned, Class A licensed and insured design-build remodeling company working across the seven cities of Hampton Roads.
In twenty years we have completed more than 2,500 home renovations and built over 100 new homes. That volume is not the point — what it bought us is judgement. We know which walls come out easily and which ones are holding the second storey. We know what coastal humidity does to a poorly flashed window in year three. We know when a homeowner's idea will work and when it needs one more revision before anyone spends money on it.
Veteran ownership shows up less in the marketing and more in the habits: show up when you said you would, brief the people who depend on you, finish what you start, and leave the site better than you found it.

Meet the founder
Heath Kindle, owner & founder.
A former U.S. Marine and U.S. State Department veteran who has been rehabbing and building homes since 2008.
Heath Kindle founded Virginia Renovations in 2015 after a career that carried him from the U.S. Marine Corps into service with the U.S. State Department. He has been a real estate investor since 2008, and in the years since has personally overseen thousands of home projects throughout Virginia and North Carolina — from straightforward cosmetic updates to ground-up new builds.
That background is where the company's habits come from: mission-first planning, direct communication, and the same refusal to leave a job half finished that both the Marine Corps and the State Department demanded of him.
